these were really nice plates. they are a nice sturdy plastic. there was never any issue with any of my guests needing to be worried about spilling their food. these plates kept everything well secured onto the plates. loved the color on these as well. they were perfect.The purple color was so fun for a Purple Rain themed concert we attended! The plates and silverware all came very well packaged to avoid breaking! The silverware seemed a little too long and harder to use but it looks like the other color options have more traditional plastic silverware so that issue looks fixed in other styles! Great for events or Halloween parties!Purple is one of my favorite colors. I would never get an everyday porcelain set with these colors but they were fun for a party and got lots of comments. This set is average quality for a dinnerware set like this. The silverware is nice looking but not as sturdy with the two pieces fit together but plenty sturdy for most foods. The overall set is great for having sturdier plates for parties and large dinner groups. They are disposable but can be handwashed and reused to help the environment. They are an easy way host a lot of people. We've used several sets similar to this over the past few years for some events. Do check the box when they arrive to make sure none are broken before the event. Mine arrived just fine but occasionally sets like these suffer from shipping mishandling. If you like the pattern and color, this is a solid set.I got this for an upcoming party and actually though the plates might be paper when I saw them in the shrink wrap. They are not. They are plastic (which I wanted), but on the thinner side. Plus they nest very well so the stack doesn't take up a lot of room. I got these for a Halloween party, as I thought the purple would work well with the orange, purple and black colors I am planning on using. I kind of wish they were ALL purple (not white and purple) but I didn't see any purple ones I liked. I like that these sort of have that baroque type look which is nice for halloween. The silverware is more modern, but very nice. It looks like REAL flatware....I almost hate that it will be thrown away! The purple is actually sort of metallic, so it is very pretty and shiny.The plates are sturdy, maybe not as sturdy as those clear Chinet ones, but better than most paper plates. I am not sure I would load one up with something like meat and mashed potatoes or a big pile of pasta and try to carry them by the edge, but they should work for most items. We are planning on some Oktoberfest type foods like sausage sandwiches with sauerkraut (maybe pierogies) for our party, so I hope guests hold them more firmly. I am sure the small ones will work for desserts.Overall a very nice set! I sort of wish they came with matching napkins and/or cups!This set is for thirty guests, perfect for birthday parties, or holidays. Comes with Durable plastic plates, matching appetizer plates, and matching silverware. The silverware is fancy to the touch. Excellent value for so many plates in this set. It’s convenient to have a set on hand when an occasion arrises.Great for a party of 30 or less.. comes with the silverware..Without picking these up, it is very difficult to tell what they're made of. They're actually such nice quality that I think, (with careful washing) you could probably get multiple uses out of them. The flatware style seems to slightly clash with the scalloped style on the plates, but it is also very nice quality. I haven't tried to cut a steak with the knives, but they seem sturdy enough to perform the task. They were packaged well in a box and shrink wrapped. I can't wait to use them for a birthday party. (Banana is pictured on the larger of the two plates).Got these for my sisters 40th birthday. Really nice plates. Love the purple color. I’m glad they have the metallic shine. Nice quality plastic plates and silverWare. Almost makes you think it's real the quality is that nice.
