This is a great looking set! It looks very nice, feels extremely sturdy, the color and shape are pleasing and the edges are not rough or burry. There are a number of neat pieces with a zip up case and an attractive cotton bag as options for carrying the set with you.The only issue we had and the reason we returned the set is that they are really large prices. The main fork, spoon, and table or butter knife are more like serving spoons than individual utensils. There are some very cute small pieces - an olive fork and maybe a demitasse spoon(?), but they are not meant for eating unless they are designed for smaller children. The chopstics are an attractive shape and weight with an elegant sheen,and have the notched bottom rings to aid in handling and picking up items, and there are two light-weight and shiny straws, replete with a pipe brush to keep your straws and set clean, however, the large size of the other items just makes this set impractical for our needs (plastic-free, reusable school lunch items).I would recommend this set though for those looking for larger, sturdier pieces.I cannot speak to how they hold up with washing or use, but they do look and feel solid and are stamped "stainless steel."I have included a picture with a regular desk pen for a visual size reference.Sad to have to return these, but think they would likely be a good set for those with larger hands - they just did not work for our needs.Really great utensils that I’ll carry with me everywhere. Wonderful quality! Great low price. Cloth is high quality as are the utensils. Great value!These are great except for the fabric holder which doesn’t wrap properly and the travel bag doesn’t fit the utensils and the utensils are somewhat flimsy feeling so you still got to be careful not to break them but so far they are holding up..Just got 2 sets of 2 knives, forks and spoons. Love this product! Wanted this to use instead of crappy plastic utensils at work. So far it's great and little case for each set is cute too. I would recommend.This cutlery set is wonderful!It's incredibly lightweight, sturdy, and elegant :^)There were a lot of comments regarding the straw and the splinters inside, and yes, there were splinters, but i simply wrapped some sandpaper around a small dowel and ran it through the straw a bit and it's perfect now! :^DSome folks have asked if there's a coating, and some have said there's a lacquer.However, there is no lacquer coating on the cutlery, it's a bit of curing oil used to seal natural wood and help prevent bacterial growth and such. Walnut, tung, grapeseed, and hemp oil are some of the commonly used oils, so perhaps message the seller if you wish to know specifically what they use.A note on cleaning: There is, of course, the hand washing aspect, but i generally avoid dishsoaps and detergents as those chemicals can be absorbed by the wood. So i do a basic hot-water & salt scrub, and if possible, leave them to dry in a place where the sun shines on them, as UV rays kill bacteria.If you care for this set properly it will serve you well :^DDisappointed to not receive what I paid for!I like that these are smooth finished versus raw wood like other sets I have used. I like that the knife is serrated. I like the small spreader knife. What I don’t like is that the handles are longer than average and putting them back in the case is a pain. I am impatient. I haven’t used the straw so can’t comment on that.GreatI really love the wood! I was just so surprised by how big it was! If you know what a standard Nestle water bottle is, the spoon and fork are bigger than it. I wish it was a smaller - to be used as a prop for food photography, but still workable. I mainly bought this set for that little knife/paddle stick used for like jelly's and stuff. The wood is nice a sturdy and is great quality for it price! However; I noticed that the texture of the utensils feel rough/sticky? It's just not as smooth as it could be. The pouch doesn’t even close properlyI got them for staging my pottery. Looks really good!
