This item is exactly what it says it is. I thought it would be larger, but probably I didn't read closely enough. Anyway, it's plain and functional. This is my second order for these seafood picks. WHY didn't I order 2 or 3 sets to begin with??Everybody who sees them wants one, so I end up giving them away! I go out to eat with the "girls" at work acouple of times a month & several of us always order the lobster tail or crab legs. Now we have our own"crab tools" that we take to a restaurant with us in our purses! People in the restaurants always ask where wegot the tools and want some, too. They really WOULD make nice stocking stuffers, maybe even put in a restaurantgift card or put some crab legs in the freezer as an additional surprise.I found these picks to be just what is needed to get the meat out of the shell. I'm happy, my friendsthat I eat out with are happy, and my belly's happy! I refuse to throw away good seafood because it's too hardto get out of the shell, and now I don't have to!This is a tiny wood mallet. I don’t eat crab so I am not sure how big these things are supposed to be. Lol. But I was expecting a heavy duty big wooden mallet. It was my mistake to have never looked at the measurements before I purchased. I am keeping it since it could be used for other applications.I needed a mallet to tenderize cabbage sprinkled with salt to make fermented cabbage/sauerkraut. This tiny mallet won’t work at all. Oh well. Wasn’t that expensive, so I will keep it.On a search for the same look mallet, but a bigger one.Love this knife. I use it as a butter knife. My husband wants one for clams. Sharp enough for clams. I keep our butter out and previously used a clam knife because of the length and the width of the blade. I think its perfect for my needs and husbands.Extra ordinary. Simply adequate and just what I wanted. I received whatI bought these based on the brand. I also thought I was buying metal. It is actually plastic. It is made in China to boot. I ended up using my metal nut cracker instead.Very sturdyI purchased this item to use to cut up pills for veterinary use, because I had an item that did that job perfectly and I finally found out that it is a lobster shears. This shears works perfectly for that. Amazon increased the price right after I bought it, and I wanted one for a friend, so I purchased the Fox Runs one. Both shears appear to be exactly the same item, except that the Farberware one has Made in China printed on one of the blades and the Fox Runs one does not, although the packaging states that it is made in China. Both have the identical "stainless steel" imprinted on one blade. Neither has the brand imprinted on it.I purchased the "Farberware Seafood Picks, Set of 4".These forks made the tedious job of eating crab out of the shell slightly easier. The fork side is rater useless as the meat will come apart too easily for the fork to grab anything, and that's when the fork itself isn't too big to get inside a leg. The scoop side is where the action is at. Open up the leg of the crab with scissors(nut crackers are useless except for the pincers, scissors works much better for the legs), and then scoop it all by sliding it inside.Beside the functionality(or lack thereof), they feel quite solid, they didn't bend when I used them, and I will most likely never have to buy another set in my life. Do I recommend? I don't think the perfect tool to eat crab has been invented yet, so it is what it is.These feel cheaply made. The blades slip around a lot when you’re trying to cut and the lock broke the first time I used them.ES MUY FRAGIL Y VIENEN MAL PEGADOS, DE DESPEGAN AL ESTAR MARTILLANDOHandle broke to easyworked great
