Wasn’t an exact replacement for my DiamondBack Trace, but works good enough. Is a mountain bike fork built t it looks good enough and fits perfectly for my size.Upgraded the fork from my road/gravel project bike. Here are my finding. Fork looks great. Welds look great and design.I liked the extra length(height) crown to axle and offset of the fork. Gave my bike more capabilities for downhill segments and in offset increased trail for more control. I toe used to hit my wheel(typical in road bikes) now the wheel is loved forward by about two inches. My foot don't touch now.I did read a comment about Bondo filler and i believe it to be grazing, a metal filler, which is common in bike joints. Now I'm not going to sand off my fork to see if mine had any of it, but I'm sure it's fine. It's a budget fork that improves ride quality, it's solid strong, since i just took it on a 1k ft descend trail ride with rocky sections. Brakes lined up just right and QR axles sit just right. I also like how the there is a wide base at the race crown. Helps sit better with more support against the lower headset. Now this fork is good for commuters and those who cruise trails. Probably not for shredding the trails. Happy ridings.Update: 400miles of trail and trail. Still going strong.Installed on a 93 Cannondale Delta V700.Used 29 size and works great!!!Fork is light and seems fairly well built with decent looking welds. The problems are as follows.1. Tapered wall thickness on the steering tube makes it hard to cut down and install a star nut. No star nut was included either.2. Brake mounts do not really allow my sram brakes to center properly on the rotor. Fully adjusted over they barely work and probably will be a problem with new pads.3. The drop outs angling back make it impossible to remove my wheel without taking the caliper off. This is a big problem for both transport and changing a tube.So after all the the fork does work and rides decent but the problems are very inconvenient.Bought these for a project bike I'm building. Theyre nice and solid and seem well built. Welds look good and paint is nice. I had a few small problems with the forks.1. One of the drop out is slightly bent inward. It seems to be OK when I tighten down the wheel but it's just something that's off.2. The graphics are not removable, or not easily anyway. They're baked onto the paint so removing them would involve completely sanding the off.3. The stem can only be cut down about 1/2" in length due to an increase in the wall thickness about 1.5" down from the top. I bottomed out the star nut and cut off as much as I could from there. I wound up having to put a spacer on top of the stem to tighten it down at the height that I wanted.Overall for the price I think they're worth it if the dimensions work for your build. This is an awesome fork but it is the shorter version. It measures 450mm and not the 468mm version. Manufacturer #X0036FA1Z1 on box.Was too short by 2" claims to be suspension corrected. Then, there's the fact that there is only a few inches for the star nut to fit then the tube tapers to a smaller diameter. Unless I am missing something, that makes it unusable in my case.Purchased this fork for a bike build project I'm in the middle of for my wife. Received the fork 2 days ago and started sanding it down to remove the stickers (impossible to peel or scrape off) and prep for painting. Luckily I discovered this fork has significant filler/bondo in the top third. Quality control and customer safety do not seem to be of concern for this manufacturer.Caveat Emptor (Buyer Beware)
