I was organizing an event and pushing hard to make it 100% compostable despite the skepticism of the other organizers. So I was very nervous these silverware would be flimsy, people would complain, and I would get a lot of 'told you so's and all future events would revert back to nasty single-use disposable plastic.It was a huge relief that these held up perfectly! People kept asking if I was sure the utensils were compostable because they seemed like plastic. They held up to all sorts of food, hot and cold, heavy foods, foods that took some muscle to cut, etc. Very pleased with the performance and even more pleased the entire committee is on board with all future events being 100% compostable after seeing how far fake "plastics" have come!( I will note it was a cool cloudy day so I don't know how they'd do sitting out in hot direct sun, but they certainly didn't melt when used with hot foods. )The spoons and forks are pretty sturdy, we haven't had really any problems with them at all, but the knives, whether it's to spread something simple like mayo or softened butter, the knife snaps almost every time. It'll cut a simple sandwich in half though (think pb&j or lunch meat). Will repurchase forks and spoons, not knives. Love that they're eco friendly.Sturdy and great quality. Would buy again!This is very sturdy and looks very nice.These utensils are great, very durable and perfect in size. They're not smaller or super thin cheapies, and they stand up to heat well. The only issue I see it that the box they come in is opened with a flap on the top, and the knives are all on the bottom, with the forks on top of them, and then the spoons on top. This isn't convenient and kinda requires moving them somewhere else where they can be separated. Otherwise, you're digging for what you need.This was a great set, very sturdy and odorless. We were pleasantly surprised, and I think the price is a good value for the 160pc set. I would recommend this product and this seller.Item arrived in a small Amazon box and arrived quickly.I can’t complain about the price if these are truly compostable. Sturdy spoons that do their job. Pay extra to help save the planet or pay half for the same amount to add more pollution ?. What you choose is on you but they are good spoons and haven’t melted yet so no complaints.This set of cutlery is great for a party and also for the environment since they are compostable. I don't like doing dishes for a party, but I also don't like having to use a ton of plastic and disposable products. These forks, knives and spoons help to give me the best of both worlds! They are solid and not flimsy at all when cutting into food.
